About

Having been a special education teacher in NYC DOE and public charter schools for 13 years, I have seen firsthand how the knowledge and skills of a student’s teachers and administrators can have a positive impact on the students’ abilities to read, write, communicate, compute, and problem-solve. I also know that on-going support with instruction and classroom dynamics is critical. With proper support and education, teachers feel confident, and students have more room to experience the joy of learning. Lessons are well-paced, clear, and properly scaffolded. Teachers have more bandwidth to be responsive to student needs.


When I work with schools, I use conversations, classroom visits, and assessment data to help set student-focused goals. From there, I facilitate learning opportunities which might include workshops, planning meetings, lesson observations, co-teaching, data analysis meetings, and other embedded teacher or leader coaching. We work together to make reasonable and consistent adjustments and/or to create tools to improve the efficacy of the instruction.
